Admission to the School of Architecture is limited and highly competitive, and admissions to MSU does not guarantee acceptance into the design studio sequence of the architecture program. In addition to meeting MSU admission requirements, all architecture majors must also submit a Supplementary Application to the School of Architecture.
Students are evaluated based on academic, artistic and personal qualifications. Applicants who apply to Mississippi State University, who submit their Supplementary Application by the applicable deadline and who meet all qualifications will be assigned a seat in the appropriate design studio.
Although every student is unique, our school has three standard tracks for entering students. Click on the link that best describes your situation:
1) Incoming Freshmen
Fall Studio Supplementary Application
i.e. High school juniors and seniors and first-time freshmen who wish to be considered for admission into the design studio beginning in the fall of each year.
2) Community College Fast Track
Summer Studio Supplementary Application
i.e. Community college or college students who have completed Physics I (PH 1113), Physics II (PH 1123), and Art Drawing I (ART 1213), and other general education freshmen courses and wish to be considered for Summer Studio.
3) Other Transfer Students
