Admissions
Admission to the School of Architecture is limited and highly competitive. Students must first apply and be accepted to Mississippi State University. Students are evaluated based on academic, artistic and personal qualifications. Applications are reviewed when received. A place is guaranteed to all applicants who meet qualifications if submitted before January 15. For more information, please read the Admissions Guidelines pdf document link below.
Visit the School of Architecture
Students interested in studying architecture at Mississippi State are encouraged to make an appointment to visit. Meeting times are by appointment on Mondays and Fridays at 12:00 p.m. You may call Pandora Prater at 662.325.2202 to make an appointment, or e-mail HYPERLINK "mailto:arc_admissions@caad.msstate.edu" arc_admissions@caad.msstate.edu. The purpose of the meeting is to:
-tour the School of Architecture facilities;
-discuss architecture and architectural education at Mississippi State University;
-ask questions about admissions;
-review the School of Architecture curriculum and help determine a course of study.

Application Process
Apply to Mississippi State University.
Submit all required materials including high school transcripts and ACT or SAT scores
Indicate your choice of major as “Architecture.”
Complete a Supplemental Application Package as required (see the Admissions Guidelines pdf below for specifics).
Complete and return the Supplemental Application Package as required.
Applications are reviewed by the School of Architecture Admissions Committee.
Dates:
Applications are reviewed as they are received. We want to afford our students every opportunity for scholarships and housing options, therefore qualified applicants are accepted as the applications are received.
January 15 Supplemental Application Packages due at the School of Architecture for Fall admissions. (Incoming freshmen). Full consideration for admission will be given to all applications that are received by this date.
February 15 Supplemental Application Packages and portfolios due for Summer Studio admission (transfers, Pre-Architecture students).
March 1 Notification of acceptance status for applications made prior to the January 15 deadline.
$100 Deposits for fall due 30 days after the receipt of acceptance letter.
