You don't have to. When your computer is joined to the
CAAD domain and you logon to the domain with your ethernet cord plugged in, the server will automatically give you all of the drives and printers to which you are entitled. CAA+D Network Questions
- What is "Common?"
'Common' is a shared folder on the Vitruvius server that is automatically mapped to drive H:\ when you logon to the domain. This folder is for student file storage and group projects. Do NOT store music on this folder. Music and video files are automatically deleted each night at 11:59 pm. - What is "Apps?"
'Apps' is a shared folder on the Vitruvius server that is automatically mapped to drive K:\ when you logon to the domain. This folder contains software and applications for studdent and faculty use. Software included in your lab fees like SketchUp and ArchiCAD are located here. It also contains Virus Removal Tools and other handy system tools. - I don't like my default CAAD Password. Can I change it?
Yes. After you’ve logged on, press ctrl-alt-del. A box with six options will pop up. Pick “Change Password.” Then type your existing password once and your new password twice, and then click OK. We recommend making it match your Banner NetPassword so that you only have to remember one. - Where are the AutoCAD blocks?
On 'Apps' under the folder "_CAD blocks." - How do I setup SketchUp?

- Where can I get software at Student Discount prices?
MSU ITS has licensing agreements with Microsoft and AutoDesk. Go to http://www.its.msstate.edu/Services/Software/index.php and pick "Student Select Software." The Adobe products can be purchased at www.journeyed.com or www.academicsuperstore.com. or www.studica.com. - Where can I get Large-Format documents scanned?
We have two 11 x 17 scanners and two 8.5 x 11 scanners in the Giles Hall computer lab. If you need to scan larger that that, Ditto's in Starkville offers large format scanning. They can scan up to 36" wide. Scans cost $1.00 per square foot. Output is in .tif format. - Can I check out a projector, laptop, or Digital Camera?
The architecture library has one digital projector available for student check-out. Mitchell Memorial Library also has projectors, laptops, digital cameras, and other equipment available for student checkout.
